Estate planning guidance is being sought online by a number of UK consumers, research suggests.

A number of the country's consumers are seeking estate planning guidance on the web, new figures suggest.
Some 48 per cent of those included in a Standard Life study reported that they have used the internet in order to learn more about this area.
However, solicitors were still being opted for by 54 per cent of consumers looking for estate planning help, with 41 per cent gaining information from financial advisers.
The firm's head of estate planning, Julie Hutchison, noted that DIY options can pose risks when it comes to estate planning processes.
Discussing the Standard Life research, she stated: "What the figures don't show is whether the public is using DIY wills on the internet, or if they're simply using the web to inform themselves before approaching a solicitor or financial adviser."
Keith Johnston, director of philanthropy at the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, recently encouraged people to use properly-qualified will writers when planning their estates.
This can help them to avoid troublesome mistakes, he noted.
