We are delighted to announce three key speakers,  Kevin Hanlon, projects director at the 4Ps (Public Private Partnership Programme - 4Ps), Oliver Gilmartin a Senior Economist at RICS and Alex Plant, Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire Horizons.

Kevin Hanlon will explain how 4Ps promote innovative development partnerships between the public, private and third sector; Oliver Gilmartin will share his thoughts on investment opportunities in the UK Property Market and Alex Plant will update us on how his team are project managing the delivery of new homes, jobs and infrastructure to the region.

Delegates will then have the opportunity to take part in one of three peer-to-peer debates followed by lunch.

Peer-to-peer debates: (choose one)

Striking the right balance - Planning Policy vs. Viability we will look at how councils and developers balance the demands placed on them by Government policy and the realistic demands of bringing forward sites for development in a tough economic climate.  Amy Richardson and Elizabeth Deyong.

Show me the money - Clear lending criteria provide greater certainty to developers and investors alike.   With claims from some quarters that the last 18 months have seen a sharp drop in the amount of credit made available to businesses, this workshop will hear from a guest speaker about what banks are looking for to support development projects.  Steven Beach and James Allen.

Old Kent Road or Mayfair? - Examining a full range of ideas as to where investors and developers should be looking in the current market from nursing homes to offices in the north of England, football stadiums to retirement housing. Michaela Henson and Oliver Gilmartin, Senior Economist at RICS.
