Commercial and Technology
The Commercial and Technology Team specialises in serving the legal needs of clients working in a wide range of technology sectors both regionally, nationally and internationally. The team brings not only top quality legal advice to its clients but also up to date industry knowledge, making that advice relevant, understandable and practical.
We are a team of three partners, two associates and three assistant solicitors. Four of the team have practised in foreign jurisdictions and one is dual US/UK qualified. In addition two of the team have postgraduate qualifications in the natural sciences.
Much of the teams work involves cross border transactions, particularly in Europe and the US, but also in the Middle East and Asia, working on such matters as the licensing in and out of technology, distribution and supply arrangements, IT outsourcing agreements, joint ventures and contract manufacture.
We pride ourselves on investing time in our relationships with clients to ensure that we have the in-depth understanding of their operations and forward planning that encourages proactive advice. In practice this means:
