Taylor Vinters has a market leading unmanned systems practice helping clients exploit their products and services on land, sea and in the air. Unmanned systems companies and organisations that use unmanned technologies instruct us because we have the skills and experience to help deliver their unmanned systems strategies; we understand their technical, legal and regulatory issues (including airspace management) and public policy challenges (such as privacy matters). We have experience of the defence and commercial markets in several sectors with complex legal and regulatory environments  including oil and gas, border patrol and agriculture among others.

Taylor Vinters is a member of the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Systems Association (UAVS) and we are its Preferred Partner law firm, offering UAVS members a point of contact for legal services.

Our team’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising a high technology unmanned systems engineering company on defence procurement (including DEFCONs), IP licencing and export control matters.
  • Advising a Californian based company in relation to international intellectual property licensing and open source software advice in the autopilot and unmanned systems sector.
  • Providing a UK based unmanned aircraft service company with intellectual property advice on building unmanned systems and related services terms and conditions.
  • Advising a start-up company specialising in unmanned underwater vehicles.

We speak regularly on this cutting edge area law at international conferences and have also appeared on national television discussing the legal issues of unmanned systems.
