Our latest blog is written by HR Manager Alix Balfe-Skinner.
It has been a great month for Taylor Vinters. Earlier this month we were announced as 2015 winners of Legal 500 Technology, Media and Telecoms Regional Law Firm of the Year. This was shortly followed by not one or two, but four awards from The Lex 100 for Quality of Work, Job Satisfaction, Living up to Expectations and Stress Levels. On the same day we were also nominated for the third year running in the Legal Week British Legal Awards 2015 in the Best Use of Technology category.
Further recognition for the firm has also come from the recent publication of the Chambers Student Guide 2015. Each year Chambers spend many months conducting research on the participating firms and then write a True Picture of the firm based on their research. Research includes interviewing trainees, partners and HR as well as industry research. For the first time we participated in Chambers Student Guide and waited eagerly to read their review of us. Since it was published I have spent some time trying to understanding their reference to Game of Thrones and specifically Daenerys Targaryen.
Daenerys Targaryen begins as a pretty timid and quiet character who starts to hatch some dragons and then becomes the dragon queen with an army. She develops into a ruthless leader, although with morals, who is trying to regain her families throne.
Whilst we aren’t hatching dragons, we are experienced at developing a pipeline of exceptionally talented lawyers who are the best in their fields. We are pushing forward strategically focusing on the areas in which we work best and aiming to be the best at what we do, on our own terms, as Daenerys Targaryen was.
