Dishpatch created a recipe for success with its finish-at-home meal kits, prepared by leading restaurants and delivered direct to customers across the UK, ready to heat and serve.
Proving hugely popular during the pandemic, Dishpatch sought funding so it could sign up more restaurants, expand its team and scale up.
Taylor Vinters advised Dishpatch on its £10m Series A round, led by Andreessen Horowitz and LocalGlobe plus several others, including US investors. The funding involved the conversion of a convertible loan note and Advanced Subscription Agreements.
Dishpatch also asked Taylor Vinters to register their trademark logo and subsequently to work on their option and EMI schemes. The company has enjoyed considerable growth in the last year, delivering over 75,000 meals. Although these are sourced from London restaurants, over 60% of Dishpatch’s customers are outside the M25 and deliveries are made nationwide.
Rebecca Quick says, “As part of the Taylor Vinter’s Future of Food focus, I jumped at the chance to work with Dishpatch on their Series A. It is testament to Pete and James’ hard work, dedication and novel business model that within 18 months of setting up they raised over £10million in investment lead by investors Andreessen Horowitz and Local Globe. Access to Dishpatch’s wide range of top end restaurants on offer (especially outside of London) is amazing and the eco-conscious packaging solutions they have set up is a breath of fresh air in an industry awash with single use plastic.”
