The corporate team at Taylor Vinters has recently advised Village Holdings LLC (“VHL”) in connection with its sale of two of its subsidiary companies (Fun Box Entertainment (UK) Limited and Fun Box Entertainment GmbH) to Urban Fun Ltd.
Fun Box are well known for their unique and exciting amusements, managed by Matthew Deith and Albert Corrigan, in the Gravity brand.
Sega Amusements, leaders of innovative new amusement arcades, recently announced its acquisition of an FEC arcade brand here in the UK. Officially, this was the acquisition by Urban Fun Ltd (a new holding company incorporated by Paul Williams of Sega Amusements and the Fun Box team for the purposes of the acquisition) of both Fun Box Entertainment (UK) Limited, and its German sister company, Fun Box Entertainment GmbH, from our client, Village Holdings LLC.
Our team at Taylor Vinters represented VHL in the sale of Fun Box Entertainment (UK) Limited and supported German counsel with the connected and simultaneous sale of Fun Box Entertainment GmbH.
Gina Angeli, Chief People Officer at The Village and internal lead on the sale process said “the Taylor Vinters team was amazing to work with. They recognized the key business issues that were critical within the legal process. Their ability to understand what was important to us and to work collaboratively with buyer’s counsel was key to the transaction. This was especially significant as we were working through a multi-national deal- they did a phenomenal job leading through the entire process.”
Scott Parmenter says, “It was a pleasure to work with Gina, Matthew and Albert on the sale of Fun Box, securing a great outcome for VHL and the future of family entertainment centres in the UK (and abroad).”
