As head of Taylor Vinters’ Brand Protection practice, I help clients maximise the value of their business through effective intellectual property protection and management.
I support clients through all stages of the IP lifecycle, from intellectual property creation and protection through to commercialisation, exploitation and enforcement. This can involve helping you protect your intellectual property through effective clearance and registration, negotiating licences to exploit your IP and finding and taking action against infringers, as well as supporting you on commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
I act for all types of companies from start-ups to multi-nationals, primarily in the technology, leisure and consumer goods sectors, and have particular experience in advising innovators and entrepreneurs in relation to trade mark clearance and registration projects. I am ranked as a leading individual for trade mark prosecution and strategy in the WTR 1000 guide to the World’s Leading Trademark Professionals.
My aim is to simplify complex issues and deliver pragmatic and commercially focused advice for my clients.
- International brand protection strategy
- Trade mark clearance and registration
- UK and EU trade mark oppositions
- UK and cross-border trade mark infringement
- IP licensing
- Research and development agreements
- Commercial contracts
I will provide you with pragmatic, to-the-point advice that helps you make effective commercial decisions. If there are a number of possible options, I will use my experience to give you a recommendation. If there is a commercial solution rather than a legal one, I will let you know what it is. Regardless of what type of client you are, I will make sure I take the time to understand your business, so that I can provide you with commercially relevant advice.
In my free time, I enjoy getting out and about in the countryside, walking the dog or horse riding.
